Here is a spread from the publication I made of the work from “Towers of Thanks”, A series that engages my mother's involvement in the Trump Organization. (Publication is available @jointsloose !) My mother, Barbara Res was the manager of construction on Trump Tower and Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization for nearly 20 years. In the run-up to the 2016 US Presidential elections she developed an oppositional and public stance against Trump and his candidacy. “Towers of Thanks” looks at how that legacy influenced my mother and I and describes the uncomfortable shifts between political and personal narratives. 🖕trump And please check back for more ❤️ @restagram #fucktrump #photography

“flowers (blue, purple, pink)”, from an ongoing project called, Pulse. I began photographing at the memorial at Pulse nightclub on June 17th, 2015, 5 days after the shooting that is remembered now as one of the deadliest mass shooting by a single shooter and the deadliest incident of violence against LGBTQ people in United States history. Amongst the photographs I made at the memorial were some of the fence protecting the crime scene; the fence, which, to me, came to represent a significant boundary. The fence went beyond the delineation of the boundary between public and private space — it became a boundary like skin, a boundary between life and death, a representation of a surface separating us, the living, from that which is lost. The fence also quickly became the substrate for the material of the memorial, which I documented as growing over time. ❤️ @restagram #gaysagainstguns #pulsenightclub #pulseorlando
