The Camera Club of New York is proud to screen selected films by Marie Losier. Her short films present unconventional portraits of artists, directors, musicians and composers. Past collaborations include films featuring Mike and George Kuchar, Guy Maddin, Richard Foreman, Tony Conrad and Genesis P-Orridge. Films to be screened include Papal Broken Dance, Tu Mens, The Ontological Cowboy, and Tony Conrad – Dream Minimalist.

Born in France in 1972, Marie Losier has shown her work at the 2006 Whitney Biennial, the Tate Modern, PS1, MoMA, the Pompidou Centre and various international film festivals. Her first feature, The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye, will premiere at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival.
