Elisabeth Biondi joined The New Yorker in 1996 as the Visuals Editor.
In this newly created position, she established photography as an integral
part of the highly regarded publication.
This spring she left The New Yorker after 15 years to work as an Independent Curator.

Matthew Leifheit is an independent photographer, editor, and writer
working in New York City.
He is Editor-in-Chief of MATTE Magazine, a journal of photography
that features one artist per issue.
