Queer Critique Group

In honor of PRIDE month, Baxter St launched a new Queer Critique Group starting in June, 2020 by artist Michael McFadden. This virtual critique group is composed of a group of NYC-based queer photographers, of varying skill-levels and stages in their artistic careers, and takes place over Zoom on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, from 7:30 – 9:30pm. EST.  

Each meeting is composed of a group discussion and peer critique of members’ lens-based works, exploring topics of subject matter, approach, techniques, and visual references. Every month, we critique 2-3 group members totaling a 20-30 minute critique per artist.
