In this performative conversation, Matthew C. Lange will engage with a panoply of devices to demonstrate the mind-altering potential of a theoretical social structure referred to as The Plummet Machine. Building upon inquiries related the encyclopedic and bibliographic functions of this machine, Lange will explore techniques for observing our collective audio-visual archives. For those accustomed to its working, and those encountering it for the first time alike, the resulting display will open new perceptual understandings of The Plummet Machine.
