Bio:
Joshua Lutz is an artist and educator living and working in New York. He received an undergraduate degree from Bard College and a MFA from ICP/Bard College. Recent solo exhibitions include Robert Koch Gallery, San Francisco (2010); Clamp Art, New York (2008); Barbara Walters Gallery, Sarah Lawrence College (2008); and Gitterman Gallery, New York (2005). Group shows include Stadsarchief Amsterdam, the 2007 and 2008 New York Photo Festivals, The Art Directors Club, Orchard Gallery, and the Woodstock Center of Photography. In 2008, Lutz‘s first monograph Meadowlands was published by PowerHouse Books. He is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including American Photography 25, Hudson Year Fellowship, Tierney Fellowship, Communication Arts, PDN 30, and American Photography 20. Featured work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and Harpers. He currently teaches at the Bard College/ICP MFA Program and the International Center of Photography. Lutz is working on a new book and a film to be released soon.
