Photographer Keren Moscovitch presents Me Into You, a self-published limited edition monograph contextualized within her experiences in an open relationship. The body of work investigates both the limits and infinite possibility of intimacy, and what happens when one’s intimate life starts to lack boundaries. She will be joined in conversation by essayist and photographer Allen Frame in a discussion about photography, intimacy and the intersection between the two. The event will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing.
About Keren Moscovitch
Keren Moscovitch lives and works in New York City where she teaches at the School of Visual Arts. She holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and a BA from Georgetown University. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, both in the US and abroad, including the Art + Commerce Festival of Emerging Photographers, which traveled worldwide throughout 2006. Recent exhibitions include shows at Bruce Silverstein Gallery, I-20 Gallery, Foley and Sasha Wolf Galleries, SLAG Gallery, Studio 150, Vlepo Gallery, (the) Slap and Tickle (me) Gallery and the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction.
She has been featured in publications such as New York Magazine, Descry, Time Out New York, The Kansas City Star, Quest, Visual Arts Journal, Peek, Domino, Zeek, Industry and Vogue Nippon. Collections include The Core Club, The Noble Maritime Museum and the Kinsey Institute. Her monograph Me Into You was published in the summer of 2012, featuring 35 images and an essay by Allen Frame.

Keren Moscovitch on Me Into You
Every relationship is a folding of one person into another. Me Into You explores the experience of becoming one with someone else, and where lines dissolve between individuals. In Me Into You, the emphasis is on the individual’s experience within a community of lovers.
Through this process, I became very aware of society’s relationship to sexuality, and began to focus on those secret places many people typically consider too private to share. The camera became an integral part of my intimate life – as the boundaries dissolved in my relationships, so, too did the boundaries of what I was willing to share through the lens.
Like Nan Goldin and Malerie Marder, Keren Moscovitch grounds her work in autobiography, exploring, she says, “what happens when one’s intimate life starts to lack boundaries.” Her picture of a couple in bed, simultaneously clinging together and breaking apart, suggests the fraught dynamic of an open relationship – a moment when tenderness and tension are in uneasy balance. – Vince Aletti
