Artist Biography:
Emile Hyperion Dubuisson was born in Paris and is now living in both New York and Paris. Prior to his photographic studies at the International Center of Photography in 2007, he studied cinema at Universite Paris 8 in France. Emile’s work reflects disciplines of both fields and he has been widely exhibited in the US. Foam Magazine recently awarded him as one of its Talent 2010 artists.
The bleak and harsh images from Siberia, the Far North, were shot over 15 years ago. Emile’s then lack of photographic experience made for random development accidents; the result was placed in a drawer for a long time, and only recently carefully scanned.
